The Deputy Principal Academic Office is charged with both Academic and Operational activities of the Institute ensuring that the Academic Calendar of terms and the entire Year are well coordinated. Tangible growth has been realized in Infrastructure, Examination results and consequently the rise in Students’ enrolment. The Examinations results currently stand at a pass rate of 57.44%.The Office ensures that quality skilled (Hands-On) training is attained to both the Hearing Challenged and the Hearing hence enforcing inclusivity skills training.

Karen Technical Training Institute for the Deaf ensures that it executes its mandate of impacting skills to the Hearing impaired Students who are 45% of the entire Students Enrolment. The Ministry of Education, through the State Department of Technical and Vocational Training has been upgrading the Institution with modern Infrastructure and Equipment in ICT, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Clothing Technology Departments. A proposed Hospitality Block funded by GoK/AfDB is under construction and once completed it will be providing quality and equipped Students to the awaiting job market in the Hospitality industry. The Institution focus on attaining its Vision and Mission at all times.
