ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department has been equipped with Tools, Equipment and Materials in Automotive Engineering, Welding and Fabrication required for Training This has greatly improved the quality of training in the department. The Department encourages more Female Students both Hearing Impaired and Hearing to enroll as they have equal employment opportunities with their Male counter parts .

  • Automotive Technician level 5 – 2yrs –Full time/regular
  • Automotive Technician Level 6 – 2 yrs- Full time/regular
  • Manual Arc Welding and Gas Metal Arc Welding Level 4- 1year/ regular

KNEC PROGRAMS

The Following are KNEC courses are being phased out but are currently being offered for continuing students;

  • Diploma in Automotive Engineering (Modular) – KNEC- 3YRS- Full time
  • Craft Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Modular) – KNEC – 2yrs- Full time
  • Artisan Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics - (TEP) KNEC – 2yrs – full time
  • National Industrial Training Authority (NITA)- Grade Test Examinations – Part-time

FUTURE DEVELOPMENT PLANS FOR THE DEPARTMENT

  • The department plans to start Part-time courses over April, August and December
